Overview

My main role was to assist in marketing strategies for eCoop, Business Co-op, and SFU Beedie Abroad. In addition, I was required to develop a number of digital and print assets for the purpose of informing students and employers about numerous opportunities available to them.

Weekly Newsletter

This email newsletter was sent out every week to promote new co-op positions, events, and external opportunities. It also included a list of jobs with nearing application deadlines. Seeking students would be shown positions that they may have missed, as well as opportunities from other school faculties.

Result

This campaign saw an average 80% open rate every week.

TV Slides

Promotional slides were created to be displayed on TVs throughout the SFU Burnaby West Mall Centre. These slides communicated basic information about the program as well as anecdotes from students who had completed a work term in the previous semester.

Resume Book

The SFU Business Co-op resume book was a digital resource sent out to employers, showcasing student resumes. It also provided resources on how to acquire additional funding for hiring students.

This project was initiated to help students who had applied to many positions, but were still open to finding a job for the following school term.

Results

By sending out the resume book to employers, 80% of students who included their resumes in the book had successfully secured a position in the following semester.

Employer Infographic

This piece was sent out to over 3,200 Business Co-op employers midway through the school semester, to assist any companies who may be looking for co-op students. The infographic contained information about seeking students such as their concentrations, languages, and past employers. It also provided information about average salaries, sample job titles, and information regarding the hiring process.
